PPGMR Law client Engine raises $3.5M to grow business in Northwest Arkansas

PPGMR is proud to work with Engine, an eCommerce platform company based in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Engine recently finished its newest round of fundraising. After increasing the size of its team exponentially throughout this year, Engine will again be hiring new employees with the funding. The company will be moving into a new office space in Fayetteville to accommodate its growing sales and engineering departments. Engine and its founders continue to create jobs and business opportunities in Arkansas.

Jim F. Andrews, Jr., Former Deltic Timber Corporation VP, Joins PPGMR Law

PPGMR Law today announced Jim F. Andrews, Jr. has joined the firm. Andrews will serve in the firm’s El Dorado office and focus on mergers and acquisitions, securities compliance, property law, contracts, corporate governance, board counsel, economic development and other general business transactions. Prior to joining PPGMR Law, Andrew concluded a 17-year legal career at Deltic Timber Corporation. Andrews was also appointed by Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson to serve a four-year term as a commissioner on the Arkansas Economic Development Commission. He currently serves as a member of the advisory counsel to the Rankin College of Business at Southern Arkansas University and a member of the Society for Corporate Governance. Andrews received his Juris Doctorate degree from Southern Methodist University School of Law. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Baylor University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Southern Arkansas University. Andrews also has extensive logistics training as a supply officer while serving in the United States Navy Reserve. Andrews lives in El Dorado with his wife and four children.

ADEQ Issues Draft Decision to Deny C&H Hog Farm Permit

On September 17, 2018, the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality ("ADEQ") issued a draft denial of C&H; Hog Farm's permit application for the operation of a swine facility along the Buffalo National River.
