Bill introduced in Arkansas State Senate that Aims to End Print Notices on Mineral Interest

SB114 (Sen. Bart Hester, R-Cave Springs) would end the requirement that counties publish in a local newspaper a list of people who are delinquent on paying taxes on mineral interests.  The bill would require the counties to publish the list on a website.  This bill is being supported by the Association of Arkansas Counties, and it is facing strong opposition from print media advocates.
